A4 Studios Halloween Scarefest Call for Submissions

The inaugural A4 Studios Halloween Scarefest film festival was held in 2019 and was a great success, but sadly the pandemic meant that we couldn’t hold an event last year. We are now delighted to announce that the second A4 Studios Halloween Scarefest is taking place on Saturday 30th October 2021!

We are looking for horror shorts of any type as long as they are no longer than 10 minutes. Ghosts, ghouls, zombies, serial killers, vampires are all welcome. Fiction, comedy, documentary, music video, experimental, animation, art films – we are open to all submissions as long as your film fits within the horror genre in some way. We are looking for the original, the unusual and the quirky.

We know that the pandemic has limited the opportunities for film makers over the past 18 months, so don’t worry about when your film was made, we will consider it no matter how old it is!

There will be an audience vote on the night for Best of the Fest. The winner will get Winner’s laurels, a unique trophy made by steam punk artist John Lockwood and a cash prize (more details coming soon!).

All selected films will get Official Selection laurels.

Films must fit within the horror genre (it’s a Halloween Scarefest!) but otherwise anything goes!

*** Maximum running time 10 minutes ***
Films can be submitted from around the world.
