Screen Media Acquires Psychological Thriller THE IMMACULATE ROOM

Starring Emile Hirsch and Kate Bosworth

Screen Media, a Chicken Soup for the Soul Entertainment (Nasdaq: CSSE) company, announced today the acquisition of all North American rights to the upcoming psychological thriller The Immaculate Room. Written and directed by Mukunda Michael Dewil(Vehicle 19), the film stars Emile Hirsch and Kate Bosworth, with Ashley Greene and M. Emmet Walsh. The film is produced by Daniel Baur, Joel David Moore and Doug Murray. The film is executive produced by Ryan ReaneyWilliam G. Santor, Andrew Chang-Sang, and John Hills, and co-produced by Max Osswald. Radiant Films International is handling international sales for this film and presented the title at the EFM. Screen Media plans to release the film as a day and date release in the second half of 2022.

The Immaculate Room follows a seemingly perfect couple who take part in a psychological experiment that will reward them $5 million if they can stay in a perfectly white room for 50 days. But the room is much more than it seems, and a hidden past and private demons will reveal shameful truths that they may not survive.

Seth Needle, EVP of Global Acquisitions and Co-Productions at Screen Media, negotiated the deal with Tim Brown of Joker Films on behalf of the production.
