Casablanca Film Factory Launches New Horror Film Festival

A new horror film festival, named ‘Casablanca Film Factory Horror Film Festival’, has been formed by filmmaker Nirmal Baby Varghese under his production company Casablanca Film Factory which was founded in 2016. This is a India based horror film festival which aims to promote horror films, and be another step up in the indie horror filmmakers’ careers.

In a statement, Nirmal said, “This is a yearly festival. Every December, we hold a screening for our hand-selected jury members, made up of industry personnel and film fans, where we showcase some of that month’s nominated films. After the screening is over, the jury members vote to decide the winners. Screenings are a jury-member only event, and are not open to the general public.”

Festival will accept feature films and short films as entries, via FilmFreeway, the world’s best online submission platform, from various countries across the globe. Final deadline for the entries is November 30, 2022. Submitters can request additional discounts via email.
