In an article in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, director Thad Ciechanowski talks about their mission…

“I’ve never met anybody who doesn’t know who Poe is,” Thad told the Post-Gazette. “It’s like how everyone knows who Darth Vader is even if they haven’t seen ‘Star Wars.’ But not everyone knows why they like Poe. … Our mission is to get people to know why they like Poe and to do that in a modern style of filmmaking.”
