Voyag3r have been hard at work since the release of their score to the lost, John Liu film, New York Ninja (1984/2021), currently airing on Showtime and streaming on Paramount+! Recently, having scored the finale scene to the indie slasher film, Movie Theater Massacre, which premiered at Motor City Legacy Horror Convention in April of 2023, Voyag3r are preparing to hit the stage at this year’s Motor City Nightmares horror convention on Saturday, July 29. Once the convention winds down, the after-party concert begins with a full live set from Voyag3r. The release date for this Kickstarter backed documentary film and companion album will be announced soon.
The guys in Voyag3r are also busy with their podcast, V3 Cast, with steady episodes airing roughly every other week. The latest installment features an in-depth interview with guitarist Peter Mengede, formerly of Helmet and founder of the 90’s super group Handsome. This episode is packed with great behind the scenes history of Helmet and Handsome as well as tour stories and sage wisdom from the iconic guitar player.If that wasn’t enough action for the year, Voyag3r have also announced that they will be working on a brand new film score for the in-production feature, Killer Kabbage, directed by Michael Dotson and Logan Reed. More information will be available later this year on the film and Voyag3r score. Film tagline: “Two warriors from the future must travel back in time to prevent the killer cabbage apocalypse.”
