With Halloween nearly here, wanted to reach out with a few podcast recommendations that are sure to quench your bloody-thirsty desire for spooky stories, in case you happen to be writing any roundup pieces this season or updating any existing lists.
The award-winning paranormal series hosted by Rainn Wilson (in character as Terry Carnation), “Radio Rental,” is back for its newest installment, with more real-life, insanely haunting tales. Stories listeners can expect include horrific camping disasters (including on secluded islands), babysitting jobs gone real-life horror story, and the lady in the woods (note: not the notorious episode ‘Laura of the Woods’).
If you need more comedic relief to offset the realities of “Radio Rental,” listen to Tenderfoot’s new discussion-based, horror-comedy series, “Rattled & Shook.” It’s basically a variety show for all things creepy-adjacent and horror-lite where each week, hosts Aprile and Meredith share new scary stories — reacting in real time — play horror-themed games, and feature special guests.
Similar to “Radio Rental,” the show harkens back to old radio programs of the past, with fun sound design and score.
