SLOW BURN – First-Ever Professional AI Feature Film Starring a Hollywood Horror Icon to Debut February 14 on RADTV

Slow Burn, a dark, character-driven psychological horror film, will debut
February 14 exclusively on RADTV, marking a historic milestone as the first full-length
professional AI feature film to star a legitimate Hollywood actress, horror icon LaurenMarie Taylor (Friday the 13th Part 2, In a Violent Nature).

Written and directed by filmmaker B. Harrison Smith, Slow Burn is a meticulously crafted
feature-length film that challenges misconceptions about AI in cinema, presenting the technology not as a shortcut but as a new artistic tool wielded with traditional filmmaking discipline.

Set against a bleak emotional landscape, Slow Burn follows Michael Parker, a college student
whose unspoken love for a classmate spirals into obsession, triggering a chain of events that
descend into dark deeds and a haunting redefinition of life and death. The film blends grounded
emotional realism with an unsettling 1980s horror sensibility; evoking a tone best described as
Pet Sematary meets The Last American Virgin.

Unlike viral AI “content,” Slow Burn was developed through a rigorous, production-driven
process. Characters were designed, rendered, and built as consistent models, environments
were constructed with continuity in mind, and scenes were executed with intentional camera
language, blocking, and performance direction. Every frame reflects authored choices
traditionally associated with live-action filmmaking.

“This is not AI slop,” says Smith. “I put my entire career on the line to learn, embrace, and
deploy this technology to create art not content.”

Central to the film‟s credibility is the involvement of Lauren-Marie Taylor, who approached the project as an actor and collaborator, not as a digital asset. Her performance was developed with active creative input throughout the process, reinforcing the film‟s thesis that AI can be used responsibly and ethically in collaboration with artists; not in replacement of them.

“Lauren wanted to explore new creative avenues with AI,” Smith adds. “Because of our shared
horror pedigrees, we saw this as an opportunity to send a message to the industry: AI doesn‟t
have to erase actors, writers, or directors. Used correctly, it can enhance storytelling and expand what‟s possible.”

Slow Burn stands as both a psychological horror film and a proof-of-concept for the future of
cinema. Smith is one that respects craft, collaboration, and the creative workforce while
embracing emerging technology.

The film is completed and will premiere on February 14 on RADTV.
