Kristina Klebe’s Directorial Debut “Noxturne” Acquired by Studio Dome Ahead of Cannes Market and Big Apple Film Festival Premiere

Studio Dome has acquired exclusive rights to Noxturne, the feature directorial debut from actress, writer, and filmmaker Kristina Klebe, and will introduce the psychological thriller to international buyers at the Marché du Film during the 2026 Cannes Film Festival.

Noxturne will have its NYC premiere at Big Apple Film Festival, MAY 14th @5pm at the Village East by Angelika Klebe. Most recently, she has appeared on the Apple+ science fiction TV series For All Mankind. Her episodes air this May 2026.

Written and directed by Klebe, Noxturne follows a world-renowned pianist whose life is shattered after a devastating accident leaves her wheelchair-bound and dependent on her younger boyfriend as both caregiver and companion. As her recovery becomes increasingly isolating, disturbing visions, fractured memories, and dangerous obsessions begin to blur the line between reality and nightmare

Drawing from Klebe’s own recovery following a life-altering spinal injury, Noxturne blends psychological suspense with dreamlike surrealism, exploring themes of bodily vulnerability, control, desire, and identity through a distinctly female lens.

Noxturne,” says director and lead actor Klebe, “is about how the journey of healing can be absolutely terrifying. To truly heal from anything in life, we must face our shadow…I have always been inspired by the deep connection between the mind and our physical bodies and this is my first foray into bringing that to the screen.”

Studio Dome Acquisitions Executive Heidi Honeycutt says, “Noxturne is that beautiful, uncomfortable genre I can best describe as existing somewhere between The Talented Mr. Ripley, The Hand That Rocks the Cradle, and the gothic melodrama of V. C. Andrews. It’s dark, seductive, psychologically volatile, and haunting. Kristina has crafted something intensely personal that feels both emotionally raw and commercially compelling for the international marketplace.&Quot;

Nocturne has received the Women in Film ReFrame Stamp for Gender-Balanced Production, which is awarded annually to narrative feature films and television that hire women, those who are non-binary and/or gender non-conforming, and trans people of all genders in key roles across the production.

Studio Dome is a multi-platform film and television distribution company and technology platform connecting independent films and series with audiences worldwide across theatrical, VOD, TV, SVOD, AVOD and FAST channels. Labels under its management include The Horror Collective, BloodStream and PrideFlix, with recent activity spanning genre, specialty and LGBTQ+ titles involving talent such as James Franco, Chuck Norris, Vanilla Ice and Sophie Monk.
