“Thursday the 12th” is Finally Hitting Theaters!

This is director Brad Lyon (Little Creeps/Monsters on Main Street) and I’m pleased to share with you that after a fair share of hiccups including Covid and Hurricane Ian {which made land fall in Port Charlotte, where we’re located} the long awaited {mostly by me probably lol} movie Thursday the 12th is finally hitting theaters!

Thursday the 12th is a horror comedy starring such familiar faces as Jena Sims (Attack of the 50 Foot Cheerleader/Sharknado 6), Todd Bridges (Different Strokes/Everybody Hates Chris), Marilyn Ghigliotti (Clerks), and Brian Sutherland (Z Nation). Seth Franco and James Rogen, two guys about to hit 30 still working at their same jobs they’ve had since high school at the mall, accidentally update a Gypsy the week of Friday the 13th.

This movie has been a long time coming and an emotional burden on me making sure it saw the light of day. Principal photography originally started all the way back in December of 2015 but was delayed during the shoot as my mother, JoAnn Lyon, passed away while we were filming. Ironically, she was buried twice, the second time on Christmas Eve, as they dug up the wrong plot the first time. As we prepped to return to filming just a handful of months later, my father and regular UPM on our sets, likewise passed away. It took us some time to complete this movie and even more to finally release it.

Once complete, Covid shut down an originally planned (limited) theatrical tour in 2021. Filming for my newest movie Killer Keg, starring genre veterans like Lew Temple (Halloween/Devil’s Rejects/The Walking Dead), Russell Hodgkinson (Z Nation), Brinke Stevens (Slumber Party Massacre), and Jeremy London (Mallrats) was slated for 2022 and both it and the tour again stumbled as Hurrican Ian, a category 5 hurricane and the 3rd strongest storm to ever hit the USA, made landfall right where we were filming in Port Charlote, Florida.

Thus, it is with great pleasure I’m here to share with you this tour poster and announce that we’ll be taking this movie around to several states, with each screening featuring its own Questions and Answers sessions by yours truly (director and Co-Star Brad Lyon). What makes this even more interesting is that we’re going to be filming the tour live as part of a new TV series called Also in Theaters which provides audiences a behind the scenes inside look at the promotion and release of movies outside the big studio system. It’s done so in a hybrid narrative/documentary fashion with an Entourage meets Diners, Drive Ins, and Dives vibe shot with inspiration from The Office.
