SFX HORROR MAKEUP ARTIST EMILY KIRKPATRICK

The 2nd Annual PromoteHorror.com SFX Horror Makeup Contest resulted in 7 artists winning “Featured Promotions” on our site. One of those talented winners is 2nd place winner Emily Kirkpatrick, who also won a Ben Nye MagiCake Illusion Palette courtesy of Norcostco, and will be listed for the AHCA Contest from Creators Unite Magazine.

“I’ve always been an artist and into horror, art and the macabre. A few years ago I felt I needed more physical art in my life than digital and decided to pivot my career from graphic design to special effects makeup. I started my sfx career in 2016 and decided to attend Cinema Makeup School and graduated in 2018. Immediately after graduation I joined the Immortal Masks team in Hollywood making hyper realistic silicone masks for film, commercials and Halloween. I am currently the Lead Patcher in the Seaming and Patching dept. and working on side gigs for sfx makeup and hair punching.”

Now that you know a little about her, sit back and enjoy her work…

I assisted Chris Osorio on a witch makeup for a short film

We hope you enjoyed her work as much as we did. We would like to thank Emily for entering and being one of our SFX Horror Contest winners.
